In connection with the Covid-19 pandemic and in the interest of supporting the health and safety of all attendees at IA in person Events and Training Courses, attendees are requested to:
undertake their own health risk assessment. Attendees are requested to carefully consider if they want to travel to and attend the IA Event or Training Course (taking into account their age and any health conditions or vulnerabilities);
check for symptoms of Covid-19 (a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of/change in sense of taste or smell) before travelling to the IA Event or Training Course. If an attendee, or anyone an attendee lives with, have one or more of the foregoing symptoms (even if they are mild) attendees should not attend the IA Event or Training Course, and are encouraged to follow the NHS and UK Government advice and guidance on testing and self-isolation;
take a lateral flow test, before travelling to the IA Event or Training Course. If an attendee tests positive for Covid-19, the attendee should not attend the IA Event or Training Course;
not attend if they need to self-isolate, for example because they have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace, are required to isolate after travel, or because they are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms;
if in the event, an external venue host other than the IA chooses as a requirement of a specific IA Event or Training Course to use the NHS Covid Pass, to demonstrate their Covid-19 status through vaccination, testing or natural immunity, as a condition of entry. If attendees have been informed that they will be requested to demonstrate their Covid 19 status at a IA Event or Training Course, attendees are requested to read through the accompanying UK Government guidance in respect of complying with the request for such pass at the following website link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass (such as providing information in respect of a self-declared medical exemption); and
adhere to any relevant Covid-19 safety measures in place at the IA Event or Training Course, including observing directions given by staff members, wearing face coverings, and participating in NHS Test and Trace measures.
Attendees with Covid-19 Symptoms
If an attendee presents with symptoms, or if an attendee become aware of a case of suspected or confirmed Covid-19 on-site at the IA Event or Training Course, they may not be admitted or, if they display Covid-19 symptoms during the IA Event or Training Course, may be asked to leave (unless such attendee needs to be taken to hospital for treatment).
The attendee should be advised to take a PCR test and to follow NHS guidelines regarding self-isolation.
