IA appoints Helen Ayres as Head of Communications

The Investment Association (IA) has appointed Helen Ayres as its new Head of Communications. Reporting to Karen Northey, Director of Corporate Affairs, Helen will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the IA’s communications strategy to help promote investment management and highlight the role it plays in society. 

Helen has an in-depth knowledge of the investment management industry having worked at the IA for the past five years, where she has played a key role in raising the profile of the industry on issues such as corporate governance, sustainability and responsible investment, and innovation. She has over 10 years of experience within communications, having previously worked for Action Global Communications, a Cyprus-headquartered PR agency specializing in emerging markets, and London-based PR and public affairs agency, Luther Pendragon.  

Karen Northey, Director of Corporate Affairs at the IA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Helen to the role of the IA’s Head of Communications. Her deep knowledge of the industry will enable her to play an important role in supporting our members and ensuring the perspectives of our industry are well understood across a broad spectrum.”
