Investment20/20 appoints Director of Careers & Talent in push for diverse new recruits

Monday 1st April 2019

Investment20/20, a part of the Investment Association, has appointed Jenny Barber to the newly created position of Director of Careers and Talent, as part of Investment20/20’s expansion and push to grow a diverse talent pool for the industry.

Jenny, formerly Director of Programmes for the national education charity Career Ready, will be responsible for delivering a programme to attract young people from schools, colleges and universities from across the UK to meet the asset management industry’s recruitment needs.

Jenny has worked closely with Investment20/20 already, helping deliver its successful inaugural Think Investment programme, which has taken 65 young people furthest from the asset management industry and made them application-ready through a series of practical skills sessions.

Karis Stander, Managing Director of Investment20/20 said:

“Providing young people with the skills to navigate the application and interview process is key to opening up the talent pipeline and ensuring the asset management industry reflects the backgrounds of the savers we serve.

“I am therefore delighted that Jenny will lead our skills work as Director of Careers and Talent at Investment20/20. Jenny’s over 20 years’ experience, leading programmes that help young people navigate to career success, will be invaluable in ensuring our industry is a career option open to everyone, regardless of their background.”
