James, Shruti and John form the Innovation & Operations Unit at the IA.
James is the Senior Policy Adviser at the Investment Association, where he leads on operational resilience, cyber resilience, and technology policy. He plays a central role in shaping the industry’s response to regulatory frameworks such as the UK’s operational resilience rules and leads the IA's work on AI.
Shruti works across a wide variety of projects that bring technology and finance together. Shruti has a keen interest in all things tech policy and is excited by emerging tech in the IM industry. At the IA, her work is focused on digital assets particularly DIGIT and digital money including stablecoins.
John is responsible for the Innovation and Operations Unit which aims to build the industry’s innovation capacity through IA policy development on technological change, DLT, crypto and AI, as well as promoting fund modernisation.
