A legal obligation for firms to calculate and publish the pay gap between groups of employees from different ethnic backgrounds may come into force soon. This may be followed by a requirement to report on other characteristics such as disability and sexual orientation. Some employers are already doing this as part of their commitment to diversity.

This webinar will explore best practice in collecting data on employees’ protected characteristics. It will cover communicating and engaging with staff on the purpose of collecting the information, practical challenges and how to overcome them, analysing the data to calculate pay gaps, developing an action plan and lessons learnt from employers who are already doing this.
