iNED: Operational resilience
Operational resilience was already a significant area of focus for financial services firms and regulators prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the publication in Q4 2019 of a Select Committee paper on disruptions in financial services and a set of Consultation Papers on operational resilience from the FCA, PRA and Bank of England.
The COVID-19 crisis has caused significant upheaval in the Investment Management and Wealth sector, and amplified the importance of operational resilience as both a regulatory and commercial imperative for firms. As well as solving the immediate resilience challenges, Boards and Non-Executive Directors must plan for continued disruption in the coming months, whilst also thinking strategically about resilience in the “new normal”.
This webinar will cover:
- Industry trends and evolving regulatory expectations for operational resilience
- Lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis and how these can be leveraged by Boards to think strategically about operational resilience
- The role of the Board in the governance and oversight of operational resilience
- Key questions for iNEDs to consider, and practical ways to constructively challenge management on this topic
