Onshoring of the EU rulebook and what happens at the end of the transition period

With the end of the Brexit transition period approaching this session will look at the changes that will be made to UK law as a result of the Brexit onshoring process and what investment managers need to do as a result to ensure they remain compliant on 31 December 2020.

While the FCA has said firms largely do not need to take steps to amend their operations as a result of the onshoring process, it is important that firms are familiar with the onshoring process and what action may need to be taken in certain areas where the FCA is not going to exercise its Temporary Transitional Powers.  

The session will cover the following topics:

• Overview of the onshoring process and the changes that it will bring;
• When these changes will take place;
• The changes resulting from the onshoring of AIFMD, MAR, MiFIR and BMR; 
• What asset managers need to consider to be ready for ‘Day 1’; and  
• Practical implementation considerations.
