Viewpoint with Stephen Timms MP

We are delighted to be joined by the Chair of the Work and Pensions Committee, Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP, for an exclusive webinar with IA members. Mr Timms is a hugely experienced politician and the Committee he chairs is of key importance to our industry, predominantly in relation to pensions policy. This includes their current inquiry into protecting savers from pension scams.

Prior to his election as Chair of the Work and Pensions Committee, Mr Timms held several positions in Government and as a senior shadow minister. During Labour’s previous spell in Government his ministerial posts include Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Financial Secretary and Pensions Minister. More recently he was a member of the Select Committee on the UK’s Future Relationship with the EU.
