On Monday 27 October, the government laid secondary legislation to bring ESG ratings providers within the FCA's regulatory perimeter. The new legislation can be found here.
Laying this legislation now allows the FCA to consult on its proposed framework for regulating ESG ratings providers - the FCA have already announced they plan to consult before the end of the year.
