IA Webinar: Changes to the FRC’s UK Corporate Governance Code

The IA are hosting a webinar with the FRC on July 17 to discuss the proposed changes to the UK Corporate Governance Code. Following the Government Response on Restoring Trust in Audit and Corporate Governance Green Paper last year, the FRC are consulting on limited revisions to the Code including:

• Setting out a revised framework of prudent and effective controls;
• Improving the functioning of the comply-or-explain regime;
• Revisions to reflect the responsibilities of the board and audit committee for sustainability and ESG reporting; and
• Strengthening reporting on malus and clawback arrangements.

As part of this webinar the FRC will provide members with further information on the background and reasons for the proposed reforms as well as insight into the specific proposals, with an opportunity for Q&A. This is a great opportunity to engage with the FRC on revisions to the Code, particularly in light of wider changes to the UK listings regime.
