IA boosts Corporate Affairs team with senior Government hire

The Investment Association (IA), the trade body for the investment management industry whose members manage £7.7 trillion of assets, has appointed Katie Martin as its new Head of Communications, in a move to further strengthen the industry’s media profile.
Katie will be joining the IA’s award-winning Corporate Affairs team, to lead the trade body’s communications strategy, championing the investment management industry in the eyes of policymakers and consumers. Reporting to Emily Walch, Director of Corporate Affairs, Katie will be part of a diverse ten-strong team, encompassing both media relations and government affairs.
Katie joins the IA from HM Treasury where she has been Head of News for two and a half years, after spending the previous nine years in the Department for Work and Pensions communications team.
